Who is behind Citizenship Test Free

Radif Partners

Independent publisher of free citizenship practice tests for the UK, Australia and Canada, with the earliest date you can apply and the official cost

Citizenship Test Free is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds free tools on public rules and public data. It is meant for people who have lived for years in the United Kingdom, Australia or Canada and are getting ready to become citizens: they need to pass a test on the country, and before that, to know the first day their application will be accepted.

What the site does

It gives full mock exams for the three tests, marked with each country's own rule: 18 correct answers out of 24 for the Life in the UK Test, 15 out of 20 for Canada, 75% plus all five values questions for Australia. Every answer is explained and points to the chapter of the official guide where the fact is. And it does what an official calculator does not: from your arrival or residence dates and every trip, past or planned, it finds the earliest date you can apply, day by day, with the counting rule each government publishes. It also adds up the official fees for a whole household.

Everything is free, without an account, an email address or a premium tier, and nothing you type leaves your browser.

Where the questions and rules come from

We wrote the 200 UK questions, the 120 Australian questions (of which 30 on Australian values) and the 150 English and 150 French Canadian questions ourselves, from the facts of Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents, Our Common Bond and Discover Canada; the Australian questions are adapted from Our Common Bond, © Commonwealth of Australia, under CC BY 4.0. Fees, test formats and residence rules were read on gov.uk, the Department of Home Affairs and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and each page links to the page it was read on. The method page gives the details, including the cases where two official pages disagree.

What we are not

We are not the Home Office, Home Affairs or IRCC, nor a law firm or an immigration adviser. We cannot book a test, take an application or look at a file, and our questions are not the official ones: no government publishes its test bank. The site uses no coat of arms or official logo. For advice on a particular case, the official pages list who is allowed to give it.

How the site is paid for

The site sells no course, book, app or legal service, takes no commission and links to no firm that does. If advertising is added one day, it will never sit above a test, and it cannot use your answers because they stay in your browser.
